How the Impact Lab Helped This Biz Owner Build a Pipeline With 7k Potential Clients

As business owners, have you ever felt like you were right on the cusp of expansion?

Perhaps that’s what you’re experiencing right now. You know the service or product you offer is valuable. The problem? Getting that message out to the rest of the world; and then convincing customers to buy it. (AKA: sales).

When Lakeisha Falwell joined the Impact Lab, that’s exactly where she found herself. Owner of Next Level Nurse Consulting, a business that offers legal nurse consulting, she had a good start with a few recurring clients – but her revenue stream wasn’t as consistent as she’d like.

Over the course of eight weeks – through weekly one-on-one sessions with a finance expert and three group Mastermind sessions – Lakeisha was able to build a sales pipeline that started working right away.

Here’s how we helped her get there.

Intervention: Setting up a Sales Pipeline

After our first meeting with Lakeisha, we assigned her some homework (we know; that word is never fun. Fortunately, when we assign homework, it actually leads to results)!

Lakeisha was able to look into the breakdown of sales and clients (based on type of client, service, geography, and firm). From there, we were able to pinpoint her ideal customer or firm. Then, we tasked Lakeisha with finding “lookalike” ideal customers on LinkedIn and through email campaigns.

Through that homework, she was able to create a pipeline of more than 7,000 potential clients!

Now that we had an audience to speak to, we needed marketing materials to reach them. That’s when we entered into our next phase – outreach.

Lakeisha tried out multiple new marketing channels to engage her pipeline (such as email, LinkedIn marketing, etc.). We then evaluated each channel and determined a funnel for each. (For example: how she would nurture or follow up with leads, how to get the next meeting, and when to raise the topic of her rates).

We also helped Lakeisha facilitate interviews for Defense Medical Exam nurse observation coverage to understand her clients’ needs better.

The Results

Lakeisha was able to start seeing results right away – even as she was still engaging with our program! From her marketing and sales initiatives, she generated two new leads right away.

She also:

  • Established a routine for multiple marketing and sales initiatives.

  • Explored various sales channels including office visits, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted subject matter outreach.

  • Received new clients and nurse referrals through oncology expert branding.

Those results are worth celebrating! But how does it apply to your business?

So What? How your Business can Benefit from The Impact Lab

In about two months, Lakeisha went from being a great business owner and service provider to knowing how to sell. (Because no matter how good our services are, we’re not going to make money if we don’t become good at this).

But talking about money and selling hits deep for many of you – we get that.

That’s why, at The Impact Lab, we make sure to address your psychology around money and selling just as much as we focus on the nuts-and-bolts of building a pipeline.

When the two pieces align, that’s when the magic happens.

Lakeisha not only built a pipeline with a quantitative way to track her leads.

Perhaps most importantly, we equipped her with:

  • Ways to combat imposter syndrome

  • Tools to learn how to be comfortable with rejection

  • A mindset to keep pushing forward.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs experiencing similar obstacles and working as a community to grow together,” Lakeisha said. “So grateful for the program and all of the growth and tools I have learned! Thank you.”

Don’t wait to Apply!
